Starfruit Timer is a computer program designed for the time formats of ESL speaking tests. It provides a "preparation" time period before the "speaking" period and 10-seconds of overtime counting. It runs all the way through at the press of a button. It can be paused, continued and restarted. The timer gives color-coded numeric, spatial and progressive visual feedback. 3 time-format presets can be stored and recalled at the press of a button on the main screen. It can be used in the classroom on a projection screen so that everyone can follow along during individual student practice. And it can be used on a computer screen in the office for individual student testing. The timer can also be used to manage time for any other classroom activities up to 15 minutes in length.
